In the context of the ‘documentary turn’ that has influenced various artistic disciplines since the late twentieth century, this book presents novel insights into the application of the documentary approach in contemporary narrative, poetry, theater, and film. The essays contained in this volume investigate the diverse methodologies employed by contemporary Latin American art in its engagement with reality and the archive, memory and its manifold representations.
