La proiezione è antica: mostra i tre continenti classici (Europa, Asia, Africa) uniti in una sorta di isola circondata dall’oceano. È un tipico esempio di come, a fine Cinquecento, il sapere geografico antico venisse ancora trasmesso, ma aggiornato con incisioni raffinate.
