    <ns1:description language="it">Il barometro aneroide venne ideato dal francese Lucien Vidie, che ne ottenne il brevetto nel 1844. In esso la pressione atmosferica viene misurata in base alla deformazione di una componente metallica elastica. Attraverso un sistema di ingranaggi è possibile visualizzare la pressione su una scala graduata. Più compatto e comodo da trasportare dei barometri a mercurio, non garantiva però la stessa precisione.</ns1:description>
