PANARTHROPODA, 
Phylum Arthropoda
Diplopoda

Millepiedi, cosmopoliti. 1) Parte anteriore con antenne, appendici buccali e primi segmenti con un solo paio di zampe; è anche indicato il 1° diplosegmento con due paia di zampe. 2, 3) Capo con appendici buccali. 4, 5, 6) Apparati riproduttori. 7, 8, 9) Stadi successivi di sviluppo. 
10) Larva appena schiusa con tre paia di zampe.

Phylum Onychophora. Terreni umidi, foreste tropicali.
11) Visione dorsale di Peripatus. 12) Parte anteriore con antenne, aspetto ventrale. 13) Apparato digerente e ghiandole viscose. 
15) Anatomia interna: sono evidenti il cervello bilobo, che sta sopra il faringe, e 2 cordoni nervosi ventrali collegati da commissure; sistema riproduttore maschile; nefridi. 14) Sistema riproduttore femminile. 16) Zampa con unghia.  17) Trachea.  
18) Nefridio.

Phylum Onychophora. 
Animals living in rain forests and other moist habitats in tropical and subtropical regions of the Southern Hemisphere.
11) Peripatus dorsal view. 12) Anterior portion with antennae, ventral view.  13) Digestive system and slime glands. 15) Internal anatomy: bilobate brain, placed on the pharynx, and 2 ventral nerve cords connected by commissures; male reproductive system; nephridia. 14) Female reproductive system. 16) Leg with claws.  17) Trachea.  18) Nephridium.
